Start and end your holiday in the capital, Tunis. Visit the medina and mosque of Sousse, where Phoenicians, Romans, Byzantines, and Arabs have left their mark. Head to the UNESCO World Heritage Site, El Djem, featuring the remains of a 3rd-century Roman Colosseum. Visit Sfax on the Gulf of Gabes; Matmata and the incredible underground village used in the original ‘Star Wars’ movie; and the salt lake of Chott El Jerid, an important oasis on the ancient caravan route between Algeria and Tunisia. Travel by train through the spectacular gorges of Selja and visit the Roman ruins at Sbeitla. Extend your holiday with an additional stay in Hammamet, Tunisia’s ‘garden resort’ where you can take advantage of a range of optional activities.

Pre registration onto your preferred tour and departure date can be made via your preferred licensed Australian travel agent.  A deposit of $250 per person is payable, however this is refundable within 14 days of the program being released (in October 2009).
